Thomas & Friends (originally known as Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends and later Thomas & Friends: Big World! Big Adventures!) is a British children's television series that aired for 24 series and 584 episodes from 9 October 1984 to 20 January 2021. Based on The Railway Series books by the Reverend Wilbert Awdry and his son Christopher, the series was developed for television by Britt Allcroft. The series follows the adventures of Thomas, an anthropomorphised blue steam locomotive on the fictional North Western Railway on the Island of Sodor with his friends Edward, Henry, Gordon, James, Percy and others who work for The Fat Controller.
Since originally airing on ITV in 1984, Thomas & Friends has became very popular worldwide to the point that various dubs of the series would be made such as American English, French, Japanese and various more language dubs. A Telugu dub existed at one point but not counting the Big World! Big Adventures! movie/rebrand which parts of the movie were found, it most probably only dubbed the episodes from Series 8 through 10 of Thomas & Friends. This is most likely the case because the only evidence of this dub is a video of the intro possibly from Series 8 on YouTube which was likely taken from a DVD rip as there is no channel logo in the video.
