Aesop's Fables (known as Manga Isoppu Monogatari under its Japanese title) is a 1983, Japanese, fantasy, literary anthology, family, children's, anime, television series. It is inspired by the works of the Greek storyteller, Aesop. It was produced by Nippon Animation. There are 52 episodes in all. Not to be confused with the anime film of the same title, which also happened to be released the same year as this by Toei Animation.
Plot[]
The series consists of adaptations of Aesop's fables such as "The Boy Who Cried Wolf", "The Hare and The Tortoise", and "The Grasshopper and the Ants", among others. After each fable finished, three monkeys in red, blue, and yellow named Ton, Tan, and Ti respectively, would have their moment of giving commentaries and viewpoints of what was just shown.

No episodes of the original, Japanese dub can be found anywhere online currently. Some of the episodes were released on a few VHS tapes (containing two segments each) in English by Golden Book Video in the late 1980s and early '90s. But it is uncertain if the entire series was ever dubbed into English. If it was, it might had aired on some Canadian, English-speaking channel, at least, if the whole series in English never aired in the U.S. Therefore, because of this, if that's the case, American viewers may not had ever gotten to see the whole series, whether any episode in Japanese with English subtitles or the rest in English. Meanwhile, the English-dubbed episodes that were released on home video have been partially found.
