Before the Super Sentai series Kyōryū Sentai Zyuranger was into Mighty Morphin Power Ranger, a pilot was made for an adaptation for the Super Sentai series Choudenshi Bioman by Haim Saban in 1986 titled Bio-Man. The pilot was rejected and didn’t result in a series on any American networks. Despite not been released or shown by Saban Entertainment, footage from the pilot was reused in a promo for Saban Brands Galaxy Rangers using Zyuranger footage instead of Bioman footage. It can currently be seen on bonus disk one of the MMPR DVD boxset as a hidden Easter egg. Galaxy Rangers was later reworked into Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.
Plot
Bio-Man" is a "space adventure series" about five kids with identical "bio-rhythms" who defend Earth against Zadar's attacks, an evil half-human, half-robot villain who wants to conquer the world.
Casting
Actor Mark Dacascos lists and acknowledges his role as Victor Lee, the Red Ranger from Bio-Man. Miguel Núñez Jr. also allegedly claims that he portrayed Zack Taylor but as a Green Ranger.
