Pat & Mat is a Czechoslovak silent slapstick stop-motion animated series created by Lubomír Beneš and Vladimír Jiránek. The characters first appeared in the theatrically released short Kuťáci (Tinkers) in 1976, while the first made-for-TV episode Tapety (Wallpaper) was produced for ČST Bratislava three years later. The series originally aired in the Netherlands by the broadcasting company "NCRV" under the title "De twee stuntels" (The two klutzes). The series didn't do well, so the the broadcasting company "VPRO" decided to dub the series. The dub first aired in 1984 under the name "Buurman en Buurman" (Neighbour and Neighbour) and was highly successful. All of the episodes of this dub have been released on DVD or digital media, except for one: the episode "Tapijt" (Carpet). The only version of this episode that we currently have available is this low-quality upload: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dVTDlVeLPTk. Someone could still have this episode recorded from when it first aired.
