Captain Planet and the Planeteers needs no introduction. It was a popular show back in its day and taught lessons about the environment to kids everywhere.
At one point, a Scottish Gaelic dub was commissioned (probably for either STV or Grampian), entitled "Caiptean Planaid". The dub is lost, though some Scots have mentioned the series. Blogger Greville Tombs mentioned the dub in an article regarding a planned live-action film and it was also mentioned in a Twitter post regarding the issue of the Scottish superhero Saltire's comics. According to TV Tropes, Wheeler's home continent was changed from North America to "Alba", "despite the fact this makes him the only one who comes from a country rather than a continent."
