Cars 3 is an American computer-animated sports comedy movie produced by Pixar Animation Studios for Walt Disney Pictures on June 16th, 2017. One of the movie's many deleted scenes featured a flashback of Lightning McQueen and Doc Hudson racing around Willy's Butte, however, Doc's engine starts to stutter and the latter dies on-screen. This scene was considered too depressing for a kids movie, so it had to be removed. Another possible explanation to why this scene was removed from the movie is due to either Paul Newman's death in 2008 or Owen Wilson's suicide attempt in 2007.
