Committed is a 2001 Canadian, adult sitcom, animated, television series. It is based on the comic strip of the same title co-created by Michael Fry and Mary Feller. It was a co-production amongst Nelvana, Philippine Animation Studios, and United Media. There were actually 26 episodes made within two seasons, but only half of them ever aired.
Plot[]
It follows the daily lives of two parents (Joe and Liz Larsen) as they strive to juggle their work lives with their family lives as they bring up their three kids (Tracy, Zelda, and Nicholas). The family's pet dog, Bob, represents the Greek Chorus during interludes.
Status[]
Over 20 years after the show premiered, only 13 of the episodes have been released. For some reason unknown and inexplicable, the other 13 episodes from the second season still haven't been released in any form, be it on T.V., home media, or online to the public. It is uncertain whether the company that currently owns the rights to the series will ever allow the unreleased episodes to be brought to light.
