"Cool Million" TV Intro

The opening of the premiere.

In 1972, with the success of The NBC Mystery Movie, the network debuted a Wednesday night version that initially consisted of three newly-produced shows: Banaceck, Madigan, and in between those two, Cool Million. Million starred James Farentino as ex-CIA agent Jefferson Keyes, who now operates a private detective agency that charges a fee of $1,000,000 a case. Because of this fee, Keyes is able to life a luxurious life that includes his own private jet. Typical of series aired under this umbrella, a pilot movie was shown, followed by four 90-minute episodes. However, this turned out to be among the least successful NBC Mystery Movie shows, and was cancelled after those four, although a bootleg DVD set of the entire series is available.
