Cosme is just like any other Kid on earth with one little exception Earth just so happens to be three million miles away! Cosme is a normal eight year old boy and the 'star' of our series. He chews gum, rides his bike, goes to school and has one big dream... to someday become an astronaut! Cosme lives with his Mother and father, baby sister and family robot in a nicely furnished house, with (mostly) normal and friendly neighbours aboard a space station, floating around in (well, a mostly!) friendly neighbourhood in outer space. Life is pretty normal, except for the fact that if Cosme wants a glass of milk it's best to use a spoon, and if he were to go outside and play, his head would probably explode. But for a eight year-old boy who dreams of becoming a real astronaut, life just dosen't get any better! Every day, Cosme wakes up, has his breakfast, grabs his backpack and heads off to school. But where most kids gaze out of the classroom window at a bustling playground, Cosme gazes out at a universe filled with wonder. It's hard to concentrate on lessons when your teacher is a 'rule-obsessed' piece of hardware in desperate need of a tune-up, or when your next door neighbour/class bully's favourite past time is getting you into trouble, or when you know that just at the far end of the space station lies the docking bay where 'real' astronauts stop by on a regular basis for a few days rest and relaxation. Luckily, one of Cosme's grown-up friends happens to be the security guard. Luckier still, Cosme also has a group of 'kid' friends who are always eager to join him in his never-ending stream of comical adventures. They are; Hortense, a strong willed, slightly strange and quirky alien girl with an amazing pair of ears and a fashion statement all her own, Freddie, a loveable teddy-bear-of-a-kid who thinks Cosme is a god, and Socrates, the family's somewhat flamboyant and worrisome robot who tags along like an older brother on 'watch' but is often the one to make matters worse. "Cosme The Astronaut" presents a series filled with kid-style fun and adventure, for whether we find our hero in the 'bigger' moments of life' such as trying out for the first intergalactic school flyball team, falling head-over-heals in 'crush' with a new girl in school that just so happens to have two heads, or trying to sneak a ride onto a rocket ship, or the day to day 'smaller moments' such as walking a neighbor's robotic, shoe-eating dog, or having to clean your room because one's snoring/farting granny is coming for a holiday, Cosme will keep audiences around the world thoroughly entertained. After all, in a few hundred years... Cosme's world just might be theirs!
