Cyberchase is a long-running educational animated series that debuted on PBS Kids in 2002. The show was later moved to the new PBS Kids GO! block in 2004, before returning to the main PBS Kids block in 2013 following the discontinuation of PBS Kids GO!. The show takes place in a virtual world called Cyberspace, meant to represent the internet or the inside of a computer. The show stars 3 kids named Jackie, Inez and Matt, joined by a robotic bird named Digit on their quest to stop the villainous Hacker from taking over Cyberspace. The show originally used traditional animation until Season 6, when it switched to Flash. Until 2015, the show had all of its episodes aired in a 4:3 aspect ratio and 16:9 versions of seasons 6-9 were never seen. Despite this, widescreen versions of seasons 6-9 are known to exist, as widescreen footage of episodes from seasons 6-9 are shown in the updated introduction segment explaining the premise of the show, aside from the footage seen in that segment, the widescreen versions of the earlier Flash seasons are completely lost, as the episodes are always aired in fullscreen in PBS reruns and the PBS Kids video app has the episodes in 4:3 as well.
