Doraemon, le chat cosmique (Doraemon, le chat venu du futur in the 2005 anime) refers to the French dubs of the 1979 and 2005 Doraemon anime. It was broadcast on Boing's French feed in 2014 to 2017[1].
1979 Anime[]
In April 5, 2003, the French dub of the Doraemon 1979 anime premiered in M6 and it aired on Saturdays, but it never had success and only 26 episodes aired.
In April 14, 2014, Boing began airing reruns of the dub and new episodes from September 2014. Only two episodes are accessible online and the rest are lost. However, several Boing France promos are also available on the internet that show samples of the dub. Most of Season 1 and some more episodes of Season 2 are found on Nyaa.
Recently, a clip of the dub was found depicting people from Japan reacting to dubs of the 1979 installment. This video can be found here. Additonally, DubDB's page contains samples of the cast's voices.
On September 13, 2024, the 1979 series started being released on YouTube, utilizing its own masters. As such, unlike the Boing masters, the intro is shortened to 10 seconds from Japanese, and title cards are localized. Each episode uploaded is a single segment without credits. Episode 1 was uploaded that day at 4:00 PM CEST, with episode 2 released on Sunday, September 15, at 9:00 AM CEST. New episodes release every Friday and Sunday, with Sundays now designated for two-episode compilations since November 29, 2024.
This dub is also available to watch on Pluto TV's Retro Toons channel in Canada.
2005 Anime[]
In November 3, 2014, A French version of the 2005 anime began airing on Boing as the fourth season of the French dub before it was removed from programming in 2017. The opening was uploaded to YouTube in November 24, 2015 and a partial recording of an episode was uploaded to Dailymotion in September 6, 2015.
Dub promos were published by Télébond on YouTube[2][3][4], and episodes clips were uploaded by Nobita Nobi daily on Bilibili[5].
On March 28, 2024, most of the dub was ripped by a Reddit user named u/haddadlys1 from the website Neko-chan, and are now on the Internet Archive. The only episodes missing are Le mouchoir du temps/Le pissenlit, Le pistolet à rayons pour avancer et rembobiner/A la dérive dans le passé, La télé des rêves/On a découvert des traces de dinosaures, Les monstres de l'île déserte, L'œuf de transformation/Le roi de l'âge de pierre, Depuis un endroit aussi loin que l'avenir, and Nobiland, une ville de rêve/Nobi veut être un bon père.
