In 1995, Funimation produced a dub of the original Dragon Ball in hopes to capitalize the success of the series like it has in the rest of the world. It was done for 13 episodes and a year later, they dropped Dragon Ball and decided to dub over Dragon Ball Z and the rest would be history.
But somewhere in between this transition, there was going to be a fully translated version of Dragon Ball Z: Super Butōden 2 for the SNES released around the time Dragon Ball Z started. The game mainly features characters and stories from the Cell Saga.
