DRagonsfielD is a lost Avengers episode , ftom the first season . It's the only episode not to features the character of Dr. Keel, because lan Hendry was filming another show, as allowed by his contract, at the time.
Synopsis[]
Steed arrives at Dragonsfield , a newly built training center for aastronauts that was built on the foundation of the old Dragonsfield manor house, to find a saboteur who has already succeeded in killing a member of the international team of scientist who run the place and are preparing for the launch of a manned orbital spy platform by testing the spacesuits developed for the mission. Steed and Security Chief Saunders decide to havd Steed undergo a test in which he's strapped to a chair and put under an air pressure equivalent to what he'd experience during launch - only to pass out due to the saboteur's efforts earlier. After being revived, Steed and Saunders track down the saboteur 's handlers and learn her identity - Dr Susan Summers, whom they are able to stop from killing her colleagues , Dr. Lisa Strauss. It turns out her mission was to prevent the platform being launched, because her home country already had such a platform in orbit and didn't want another one to be launched.

There actually was a manned secret orbital platform planned, but new technology rendered it obsolete before it even got off the ground.
