Elias: The Little Rescue Boat (Norwegian: Den lille redningsskøyta Elias) is a children's book published in Norway in 1999. It was later adapted into an animated television show and two movies. However in 2002 a 7 minute pilot was made The models and sets were made by Bjørn Ona, and the story of the episode (which was episode one as well as pilot) was quite different from the finished one. Sigurd Slåttebrekk and Alf Knutsen were directors, and a photographer animation expert were brought in from the UK. Music (made by Knutsen) was also recorded. The pilot as a whole was completed, with a length of 7 minutes. It was probably not greenlit by NRK.
