The film is directed by Harry Bradbeer, from a screenplay by Jack Thorne. Millie Bobby Brown stars as the title character, while also serving as a producer on the film. Henry Cavill, Sam Claflin, and Helena Bonham Carter also star. The film Enola Holmes is confirmed to be released by Warner Bros. Pictures, but it was replaced by Netflix due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was released on September 23, 2020. The film received generally positive reviews from critics, who praised Brown's performance. Because of this, Warner Bros. Pictures had no involvement with this film for unknown reasons.
