Pingu is a Swiss-British stop-motion clay animated children's comedy television series created by Otmar Gutmann and produced from 1990 to 2000 for Swiss television by The Pygos Group (formerly Trickfilmstudio and Pingu Filmstudio), and from 2003 to 2006 for British television by HIT Entertainment and Hot Animation. It focuses on a family of anthropomorphic emperor penguins who live at the South Pole; the main character is the family's son and title character, Pingu.
In February 2-3, 2002, an English dub was made in South Korea by Dongsung Productions Co., Ltd. (동성프로덕션) and Elite Production, made for educational purposes. The dub never aired on television and was only released on VHS. The voice cast currently remains unknown. Only the season 1 episodes are dubbed.
At the end of every episode, there is a "Listen & Repeat" segment where a female announcer repeats all words that were just said in the dub.
The dub is notorious among Pingu fans due to its poor voice acting, editing, and improper grammar.

Trivia
- This dub has different episode titles then the original titles.
- The dub has only two voice-actors, a female actor who voices Pingu, Mama and Pinga and a male one who voices Papa.
- Robby The Seal is renamed Fur Seal in this dub.
- One example of the improper grammar is in "Listen & Repeat" of Pingu Runs Away (I Hate Mom), Pingu's dad's line "You cook very well" has the word "cook" misspelled as "Look".
