Crash Team Racing 2010 is a cancelled racing game staring video game character Crash Bandicoot. It was developed by High Impact Games, a game company that had employees that once worked for Naughty Dog and Insomniac games, the companies that gave birth to Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the dragon.
Development and cancellation[]
High Impact Games began to work on the project presumably around 2009 in hopes of bringing back Crash Bandicoot to the gaming industry. The game was shown at E3 and even some screenshots were released on the Internet which you can see below. But Activision had just purchased the rights to Crash Bandicoot and forced the game to go into cancellation. Activision decided to rework the game into an all new racing game called Dreamworks Super Star Kartz starring various animated characters from various Dreamworks movies such as Shrek and Madagascar.
