From the Grass Roots, Volume 1 is an album produced by the Green Party of Mercer County, New Jersey. It contains 13 songs and 10 "Key Values," the latter which are presumed to be spiels. The songs and Key Values reflect on what the Green Party of the United States stands for. The album was sold on the Green Party's website from 2004 until late 2009-early 2010.[2] A Volume 2 was planned and was to contain songs made by artists from Mercer County, New Jersey only.[3] However, the album was never released. It is one of the three albums produced by an affiliate of the Green Party, the other two being Idaho Greentracks: A Party Sampler and Party With a Purpose.

Trivia[]
- "TV News Feels Like Love" was possibly composed between 1990 and 1991, since the Gulf War is mentioned and implied to be ongoing in the song.
