Go Jetters, also known as Go Jetters 2014, was a web browser based flash game made for the Cbeebies website in 2014 by Cbeebies and Complete Control. [1] Acting as the second pilot to the 2015 TV series Go Jetters, the game follows the adventures of the titular Go Jetters, Xuli, Kyan, Lars and Foz to stop the dastardly Grandmaster Glitch from destroying landmarks across the planet Earth. The game was available on the Cbeebies UK website in 2014-2015, before being removed.
Th flash game itself is currently considered Lost Media, as it is unplayable, and certain aspects of the game are entirely unknown.
Known Gameplay & Content[]
The Go Jetters game, upon launch, would play an alternate version of what would become the TV series' theme song, before booting the player to a homepage. On this page, the player would be given the option to read the biographies of the six characters, view their earned achievements, or choose one of six locations to either play a quiz, or mini game about. The six locations featured were Big Ben, The Grand Canyon, The Eiffel Tower, Table Mountain, The Great Wall of China, and The Sydney Opera House.
The Big Ben minigame- known to be called Big Ben Blast -is the only minigame where the player is able to choose a playable character, having the option of any of the four Go Jetters; Xuli, Kyan, Lars and Foz. In this minigame, the player was tasked to use hover-boots to scale up platforms which lead to the top of Big Ben, in order to stop Grandmaster Glitch from meddling with the clock and bell, while watching out for pesky birds.
The Sydney Opera house minigame is speculated to have featured a rhythm game, as screenshots suggest that the player was to control the Go Jetters, equipped with instruments, to stop a swarm of bubbles.
Information and footage for the other four locations, and their quizzes and minigames has not been found online.
Additional Found Information[]
Go Jetters is known to have been released in four languages- English, Welsh, Scottish Gaelic, and Irish. Screenshots of the select screens for the game in all four languages are available, as well as eight screenshots from the Irish release of the game, published in a short article for the BBC. A sizeable amount of screenshots also exist for the English release of the game.
Currently, there are multiple screenshots of the game available on the internet, as well as three videos of game footage, two being released officially by the BBC, and one being a gameplay video, which lacks any sound from the game.
Concept art for the Hero Headquarters [2] of the game, as well as the layout for the code of the game, is also available online.
