Godzilla vs. Bagan was written in 1995. It was planned to be the end of the Heisei series, but was scrapped in favor of Godzilla vs. Destoroyah. The plot was, in order to beat the unstoppable Bagan, Godzilla mutates into a larger Super Godzilla form which proves unstable.
The plot saw the light of day as the climax of the 1993 SNES game aptly titled Super Godzilla, marking Bagan's only appearance to date. The basic design of Super Godzilla was also used for SpaceGodzilla.
