Grand Theft Auto was a franchise created and developed by Rockstar Games (formally DMA Design). A version of the first installment in the series for the Sega Saturn was in development but was cancelled. The game was likely developed sometime in 1997 or 1998.
Information
This game was supposed to be ported to the Sega Saturn and was to be released around the same time as the PlayStation and PC versions. The game's engine was inspired by a game known as Clockwork Night. Due to failing sales and criticism of the Sega Saturn, the game was cancelled and screenshots and a preview article were included in a SEGA Power magazine.
