Hamtaro (also known as Hamtaro: Kleine Hamsters, Grote Avonturen) is the dutch dub of Tottoko Hamutaro, which aired from February 1, 2003 to December 23, 2005 on Fox Kids and later on Jetix Play (a preschool block on Jetix), the series still aired reruns after the dub ended on Jetix Play, with the series being used in promos for the block as late as 2007/2008, it is presumed that the series aired on the channel up until Jetix itself was rebranded to Disney XD during new years' day 2010, though that hasn't been confirmed, the series also aired in Belgium on VTM's TamTam block from March 1, 2003 and ended at an unknown date.
It is unknown what studio produced the dub, Wim Pel Producties has been rumored to have produced the dub, but that hasn't been confirmed and for now is merely just a rumor, the now-defunct Bridge Entertainment Group has also been rumored to have produced the dub, though unlike Wim Pel, there might be a chance that Bridge produced the dutch dub of Hamtaro, as the company released the dub on VHS and DVD, and the company even filed a Kijkwijzer rating for the series, though there is a high chance that Bridge only distributed the series on VHS and DVD and filed a Kijkwijzer rating for the series, as from what is known Bridge wasn't a dubbing studio.
Like most dubs of Hamtaro, the dutch dub was based off the english dub of the series, and as such included all of the edits, name changes and censorship made to the english dub, only the first 104 episodes have been known to be dubbed, it is unknown if the episode Ham-Ham Halloween! recieved a dutch dub, all of the episodes dubbed were aired in the Netherlands, but only the first 52 episodes were aired in Belgium.
