Homenzinho (Portuguese: Little Man) is a lost Venezuelan video game from 1995 created by Conservative terrorist group 34-11.

Premise[]

Homenzinho is a story-driven existentialist horror game shown from the perspective of Venezuelan president Carlos Andres Perez, who at the time of production had been out of office for 2 years on charges of embezzlement. Through choices displayed at the bottom of the screen, the player is able to interact and speak with the Homenzinho, or little men, small white humanoid creatures who torment and ridicule Perez for his failed presidency. Several endings are possible, including one where Perez is impaled by a tree outside his window, and one where Perez is placed before a firing squad.

Some parts of the story bear a striking resemblance to the Twilight Zone episode "The Mirror."

Reception[]

Homenzinho is notable for its lurid depictions of gore and violence, as well as its ominous undertones and propagandistic nature. Upon initial release several players reported epileptic fits. Gaming magazine Vida Del Cartucho cited it as "one of the darkest games seen in years... despite its humorous cover, this is a game to be played in the middle of the day with the curtains open." The game was a commercial and critical failure.

After distributing roughly 200 copies, 34-11 moved to a new location and have not publicly commented on the game since.
