Homestar Runner Goes for the Gold (also known as Homestar Runner and the Brothers Strong according to the draft) was a planned sequel to "The Homestar Runner Enters the Strongest Man in the World Contest", the book that started the Homestar Runner franchise. Production started around September 1996. Both books were written by Mike Chapman and Craig Zobel, The "Goes for the Gold" book was lost in time due to it being scrapped and never making the cut, and didn't resurface until 2016, the 20th anniversary of the Homestar Runner, when a remastered Flash-animated adaptation of the book got released, alongside the original draft of the book. The draft was exported from the SWF of the animation and is available to read in this very page!

The story is about Homestar and Pom Pom competing in a triathlon with flying, swimming and racing challenges. After Strong Sad got kicked off Strong Bad's team and replaced by Dijjery-Doo, a prankster canned for being too similar to The Cheat and "too walrus-like". Homestar lets SS join the team as they win.
