Kimba the White Lion (Japanese: ジャングル大帝) is an anime series created by Osamu Tezuka that originally aired on Fuji TV from 1965-1966. There is a Catalan dub of the series called Leo el lleó, and a Valencian dub called Kimba, el lleó blanc that aired on Canal Nou Dos. Not much is known about this dub, except that it's based on the 1993 Canadian English dub instead of the original Japanese version. The only materials from this dub that have resurfaced so far are the opening sequence, the first 30 seconds of episode 51 (without any dialogue in it) and some music.
A YouTuber named Dibuixos en català has uploaded a few songs from the dub, but the comments are disabled, and there is no contact information on their channel.
In 2024, some episodes of the Catalonia dub resurfaced on Animelliure forums, whereas one episode of the dub made in the Land of Valencia for Canal Nou was recovered by Anime en Valencià community, and uploaded on Internet Archive.
