Little Audrey is a main character in a series of Paramount Pictures' Famous Studios cartoons from 1948 to 1958. She was created to avoid renewing the license on Little Lulu, a comic strip character owned by Marjorie Henderson Bull. The pre-1950 shorts were later sold to U.M. & M. TV Corporation while the post-1950 shorts were sold to Harvey Comics and eventually fell under the ownership of Dreamworks Classics, thus having their original opening titles changed and the original Paramount Pictures Corporation credit in title cards replaced with that for Harvey Films Inc. Several of the earlier shorts were edited on television to avoid racial stereotypes involving Petunia, the black faced maid.
