In 1998, Nickelodeon unveiled the Logo Logic Book—an internal branding manual distributed to new employees between 1998 and 2000 as part of a comprehensive onboarding package. Accompanying the book was a CD-ROM titled Encyclopedia of Logos, which featured still-frame vector assets of Nickelodeon’s logo designs in .AI format, serving as a digital archive for design reference and replication. More intriguingly, this package also included a rare and expansive film reel compiled by the elusive internal “Logo Council,” which showcased the full set of 137 broadcast logo animations used across Nickelodeon’s programming blocks. To date, no footage from this reel has surfaced publicly, and its content remains a white whale for branding historians and lost media researchers. If anyone reading this—particularly former Nickelodeon employees active between 1998 and 2000—happens to possess this film reel, please consider uploading it for preservation. The community is ready to celebrate, restore, and archive it with care. There's also a discord server I made based off of this. To join it click here: https://discord.gg/PZ6dJEYzKb
