While this situation has gotten far out of hand, we need to stay positie. I have spoken to Dycaite, and we both agree that this ocurrance will not hinder the development of the new site.

+

Looks like we have another mixed bag of found media and news on our hands, so let's jump straight into it:

For those of you unfamiliar with what is going on, Wikia is trying to stop Dycaite from creating a separate site for LMW. He's been unsatisifed with the limited functions of Wikia and wants more administrative freedom. Unfortunately, upon hearing this, Wikia's staff have chosen to tell Dycaite that he is not allowed to link to the new wiki on here and that he can't transfer any of the content to the new wiki. Upon Dycaite's disagreement with the decision, he was removed as admin and is currently blocked from editing on this wiki.

*The "Dune, yo" episode of The Nostalgia Chick has been found, courtesy of kurtdenter, who had previously downloaded a copy of the episode and who has recently mirrored it for us via Dailymotion! Cheers, kurt!

For a lot of people this would be an unescapable roadblock and they would give up. However, glbracer, Dycaite, and myself are going to keep pressing onwards for the new wiki. For the time being, glbracer and I are in charge, so feel free to message either one of us for questions. If you are interested in assisting in the transition, please message us on Skype. Our Skype names are identical to our usernames on here.

*All 11 Celebrity Deathmatch Hits Germany fights have been ripped from VHS and uploaded to YouTube, courtesy of DrClark Wyman! Thanks Clark, much appreciated!

Also, please keep in mind that sending hateful or hurtful messages to Wikia's staff is only going to make the situation worse. You may send messages petitioning to allow Dycaite to be admin again, but keep in mind everything going on here is part of their policy. While we heavily disagree with their policies and the way they're handling this, they have the power to make things worse.

*The pilot episode of All That has been unearthed! Originally uploaded to private torrent tracker MySpleen and then almost immediately deleted, (assumingly due to file sharing "exclusivity", one of my pet peeves) was the All That pilot; luckily, several people were able to download it before it was removed, one of whom (Greenrift) has mirrored it via YouTube. Thanks to both the original ripper and the MySpleen user who shared it, and to Greenrift for the mirror! Credit also goes to ZSL123, for tipping us off. A MEGA mirror of the raw file will hopefully be coming soon, stay tuned...

Thank you all for your support and loyalty as we make the difficult transition. Hopefully the situation doesn't get any more sticky.

*My Vitriol have reworked their unreleased A Pyrrhic Victory tracks into a new album titled The Secret Sessions, which is now available for pre-order via PledgeMusic! Unfortunately, this is only a move to please fans who paid money to see a new official My Vitriol album. With this release, we see a different album become a lost piece of media. Thanks and respect to My Vitriol for endeavouring to get these sought after tracks out to their fans and thanks to ThatShoegazer for the tip off.

DISCLAIMER: SOME ARTICLES ON THIS WIKI CONTAIN DISTURBING/NSFW CONTENT.

WELCOME TO THE LOST MEDIA WIKI; HOMEPAGE OF THE LOST MEDIA SOCIETY!

This wiki is a database detailing a history of lost media (audio or video, fiction or non-fiction), established in late November of 2012. We use a pretty loose definition of the term "lost", and as such, articles on anything from totally missing media to rare or unreleased media are acceptable. It's still in its early stages, so anyone can feel free to (and are encouraged to) contribute. Who knows, if we combine our efforts we might even uncover some of these highly sought-after rarities. Happy searching!

BEFORE WRITING AN ARTICLE, PLEASE CHECK THE ARTICLE CREATION RULES.

NOTICE BOARD

 • ANOTHER MIXED BAG OF DISCOVERIES AND GOOD NEWS! (Added 25 Sep '14)

Looks like we have another mixed bag of found media and news on our hands, so let's jump straight into it:

 • The "Dune, yo" episode of The Nostalgia Chick has been found, courtesy of kurtdenter, who had previously downloaded a copy of the episode and who has recently mirrored it for us via Dailymotion! Cheers, kurt!
 • The pilot episode of All That has been unearthed!

In other news:

 • My Vitriol have reworked their unreleased A Pyrrhic Victory tracks into a new album titled The Secret Sessions, which is now available for pre-order via PledgeMusic!

That's all for now; thanks again to all parties involved in the unearthing of the aforementioned pieces of media!
