Mel-O-Toons is a 1959, American, animated, anthology, television series. It was produced by New World Productions. A total of 104 episodes were made.
Premise[]
Each episode is a reimagining and retelling of a well-known folk tale, fairy tale, fable, Greco-Roman myth, Biblical story, and classic literary adaptation. There are even some set to classical music and ballets, and some shorts revolve around animals whose stories were written by Thomas Burgess. The soundtracks were frequently borrowed from children's records.

57 of the episodes are currently available while 47 others remain missing. A partial list of episodes on this series's Wikipedia page includes "Endymion and "Selene" and "Peter Cottontail", but neither is available on Youtube. Those that are actually available include "Open Sesame", "Sherwood Forest", and "Storytime", but none of them are mentioned on the Wikipedia page. The other episodes have yet to be found.
