Milo's Bug Quest (마일로의 대모험 Mailroui Daemoheom) was a South Korean-Canadian co-production that ran from 1999 to 2000. It was made by Atomic Cartoons (which went on to create Atomic Betty) and Sunwoo Entertainment. The series was about a young ant named Milo who went on an epic quest to save his home from its evil ruler Morduch. The only merchandise for the series is in South Korea as there was a PC game, a puzzle, food products, and a few home video releases. Episodes are hard to find on the internet. Episode 24 The Contract, is the only episode of the series that is on YouTube. The only other ones to exist in any form is the pilot and the storyboards for episode 1. The first and eighth episodes were available on Sunwoo Entertainment's website, but their domain pages have long since expired.
The series was planned to air in North America but it never made it. The English dub only aired on Channel i in Singapore in 2003. The episode order of the English dub differs from the Korean episode order.
Update:On June 9, 2021, Sunwoo Entertainment uploaded the Korean opening on their YouTube channel[1]
Update:On March 3, 2022, the first twelve episodes were uploaded on the KMDB VOD website, Naver and the Korean Film Archive YouTube channel.[2] The episodes were upscaled to HD. The audio is in Korean with English subtitles. The final fourteen episodes have yet to be uploaded.
Update:On July 28, 2023, Sunwoo Entertainment began uploading the English dub on their official YouTube channel.[3] The first two episodes of the Korean order have been uploaded as of August 10, 2023. Like the Korean version, the audio quality of the English dub is poor. This is possibly due to poor upkeep of the original masters.
Update:On February 29, 2024, Sunwoo Entertainment began releasing episodes of the English dub on their Sunwoo Kids YouTube channel.[4] It went up to episode 10.
