Mon Colle Knights, known in Japan as Six Gates Far Away Mon Colle Knight (Japanese: 六門天外モンコレナイト, Hepburn: Rokumon Tengai Mon Kore Naito), is the title of a Japanese anime series animated by Studio Deen based on the Monster Collection trading card game. The series first started in a manga (which was produced simultaneously with the anime) in 1999 written by Satoru Akahori and Katsumi Hasegawa and illustrated by Hideaki Nishikawa. The anime premiered on January 10, 2000 on TV Tokyo, airing until December 25 of the same year, totaling 51 episodes. The anime was later adapted in English by Saban for the block Fox Kids in 2001, making major changes in the anime and reducing the number of episodes to 46.
In Brazil (where is known as Os Cavaleiros de Mon Colle) the anime debuted at the end of 2001 on the Fox Kids channel, being adapted directly from the American version made by Saban, having reruns in the channel until 2003. Mon Colle Knights also was one of the few Fox Kids anime (along with Kirby: Right Back At Ya! and Flint the Time Detective) that never aired on Rede Globo.
Since the last rerun the anime has never returned on any other channel and not even made available by streaming services in Brazil. So far only a single episode has been found, episode 21 (16 in the American adaptation) "A Giant Pain in the Mondo" which was recorded directly from television during the anime broadcast on Fox Kids and was made available on April 25, 2014 on Youtube.
