The Spanish dub for Ni Hao, Kai-Lan went through several tests and changes before it was ultimately finalized sometime around 2009. The tests and early dubs used to be broadcast on Nick Jr. where feedback was received through certain methods used to get information of ratings. Although similar, they have some notable differences.

The testing was also applied to the Nick Jr. Latin America website with the method of polls, promotional media, and feedback. The tests ended sometime in 2008 or 2009 and viewers allegedly boosted upon finalization.

These tests and early dubs have become lost media due to them not having ever been broadcast or put on DVDs, as they were only for evaluation and to potentially check for viewer decline or audience satisfaction.
