Ni Hao, Kai-Lan is a 2007-2011 nickelodeon show that had about 3 seasons best, The 3rd season was cut short and there is unreleased episodes for the 3rd Season that was possibly in development sometime between 2009-2011, and cancelled at an unknown date. Because the show was cancelled before its announcement, and no physical footage of the episodes exists, the episode's existence could be considered unconfirmed. It was possibly intended to be a follow-up to the Princess Kai-Lan Duology, or was likely was going to be a successor to the Hula Duck Dance Party entirely.

Currently, there are no known videos or storyboards (expect for the 2009 build for Journey To The Monkey King Castle as The Monkey Kings Adventure is a separate episode) the only known official mentioning of these episodes is that it is on Jennifer Nelson's Blog who was the Art Director of the show. This would imply that the season was cut short before it was far enough into development to begin work on the animation but was possibly Scrapped during the concept period or shortly afterward, though no recordings have surfaced online. It sadly was never officially announced by Nickelodeon and thus never officially canceled (rather just scrapped). While having never been officially explained, it is widely believed the season was scrapped was because of a result of poor reception of the 2nd Season in the USA and due to the Hoho punches Rintoo controversy. It is unknown how much progress was made on the episode's or if any other materials remain or if any development for the episodes was done at all. So unfortunately it seems not much remains from these scrapped episodes until the future.

Fan Speculations[]

This has led people to speculate that the art was going to be centered on a kai-lan related project and they were not supposed to be episodes.

Another common speculation is that the episodes was going to be episodes of Season 2 in some way.

A different speculation is that the art was simply concept art for another licensed game, though there's no real evidence.

Another speculation is that Nickelodeon/Viacom wanted to continue the show, however due to a high budget to produce another season and Karen Chau (the show's creator) went on to work at The Walt Disney Company. Therefore the plans were scrapped

Updates[]

Currently none i'll try and email some of the team members behind the show.
