Nuki Nuki, also known as The Nuki Song, is a song by Gummibär released in 2009 as a single. It was later included in the La La Love To Dance album in 2010.

A year later in 2011, an album titled "僕はヌキ★ヌキ" was released by Sony Records Int'l in Japan. It included alternate mixes of both the original version and Hip Hop Mix.

Findings[]

In mid-2021, Gummibär community member and enthusiast bekzii found Nuki Nuki's alternate version on iTunes. Prior uploading it in full, they would use a medium portion of it in an announcement video. Their upload of the track would later become unlisted for unknown reasons.

In 2022, EMD23, another member of the community, bought the album and uploaded the other tracks from it on their YouTube channel, "Unofficial Gummy," most notably the Hip Hop Mix. The aforementioned channel would later be terminated in early 2024, making the track go lost for a short period.

On May 10, 2024, The Gummy Repository uploaded EMD23's rips of both tracks, once again marking the Hip Hop Mix found. Both uploads are in the video gallery below.

Differences[]

Original (僕はヌキ★ヌキ)[]

  • The opening lacks the drum kick loop, presumably being taken from Schnullersong, the original version of Nuki Nuki.
  • The instrumental uses a single drum kick loop throughout the entire song, this is also used in the Spanish version.
  • The "Superman and Mickey Mouse" line was changed to "Mickey Man and Supermouse", potentially due to Japan's stricter copyright laws.

Hip Hop Mix[]

  • The "Listen up!" opening line is at a lower frequency.
  • The line "Rock it, rock it like this!" is louder and slightly out of sync.
  • Again, the "Superman and Mickey Mouse" line was changed to "Mickey Man and Supermouse."
  • Gummy Bear says, "That's my Nuki!" This line is new to this mix.
  • The end of the song lacks the pop sound.
