Out of the Box was a children's TV series which aired on the Playhouse Disney television block from 1998 up until 2004. The series was was hosted by Tony James and Vivian Bayubay, and each episode centered around them taking care of neighborhood kids in a playhouse made of cardboard boxes, where they would do activities such as arts and crafts and singing. The series was created by Douglas Love and based on a book series.

Out of the Box is one of Playhouse Disney's most obscure series, despite it being successful, only two episodes, "Trick or Treat" and "Happy Holidays"

were released on VHS, after reruns stopped airing on the Disney Channel, episodes were hard to find for many years.

Around 2012, a number of episodes were uploaded by a user to YouTube, but in early 2015 most episodes were taken down by Disney, now mostly just clips can be found. Only one full episode is currently available to view online.

On October 14th, 2019, It was confirmed that the show will be available to stream on Disney+ on its launch, November 12, 2019.
