Panty and Stocking With Garterbelt is an anime created by Hiroyuki Imaishi who beforehand did work on Dead Leaves, Gurren Lagann, the Lupin The III television specials and Neon Genesis Evangelion. The anime focuses on two Angel sisters named Panty and Stocking Anarchy who were kicked out of heaven for their nasty behavior and sent to Daten City. Under the assistance of priest Garterbelt, the angels use their undergarments to exterminate corrupted ghosts which contain heaven coins which they collect in order to get back into heaven. Following them is the dog Chuck, the lovesick geeky teenager Brief and their demon counterpart rivals Scanty and Kneesocks. The anime is notable for being a parody of North-American cartoons like Powerpuff Girls, I Am Weasel, Johnny Bravo, and Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi and having a raunchy comedy style similar to the likes of Drawn Together, Invader Zim and South Park.
In 2011, a Youtube Vocaloid Cover Artist named MikuTanKyu (Now known as Miku-Tan) was a fan of the show and did a fandub of the episodes Catfight Club, Les Diaboliques, and Pulp Addiction in July of 2012 before Funimation released the official dub of the show. MikuTanKyu voiced all the characters in the dubs with the exception of Brief and Garterbelt who were voiced by another Youtube Vocaloid Cover Artist and friend of hers named Razzyness. The script in the dubs was mostly like the english subtitle translation of the original anime. Her dubs were well-appreciated but saw problems with Garterbelt's voice in one of the videos. When Miku-Tan's original account got suspended that year and made her new account, she reuploaded most of her popular videos from her older account but did not include her Fandubs. It is unknown as of today if she will reupload the dubs.
In June of 2015, User BTT9000Returns, (his youtube name is vannestekaren1), after seeing Miku-Tan's cover of the Kill La Kill song, Ambiguous, stated that he was a fan of the works of Hiroyuki Imaishi's works and would thrill to see the Panty and Stocking fandubs again. Miku-Tan saw of this and liked his comment as well as a few others. This may imply that the user has plans to reupload her fandub in the future
It has just been realised that Miku-Tan believes to have deleted all three of her videos for when she was suspended from Youtube. Their whereabouts are for now unknown until somebody has one of the videos downloaded onto their desktops between the years 2011 and 2012.
