Peppa Pig is a British children cartoon series created by Neville Astley and Mark Baker, also creators of other series such as Ben and Holly's Little Kingdom. It premiered on 31 May 2004 on Channel 5 in the UK.
From 2006 to 2008, Boomerang Latin America picked up the series as "Peppa Cerdita" and broadcast it throughout the region in association with Venezuelan dubbing studio Etcétera Group. In this dub, it features Leisha Medina performing as Peppa, Mercedes Prato as George, Rebeca Aponte as Mummy Pig and Guillermo Martinez as Daddy Pig.
In 2013, Discovery Kids acquired the broadcast rights of Peppa. However, the network decided to redub the series in association with Candiani Dubbing Studios from Mexico, since Etcétera Group was only commissioned to dub the first two seasons of the cartoon before being dropped from the programming schedule. Since there was no uploaded footage of the show being aired in Boomerang, the Venezuelan dub was considered lost. The only voice actress who returned to perform for the new dub was Anabell Peña as Emily Elephant.
According of Doblaje Wiki, the Venezuelan dub credits can be heard in some episodes of the Brazilian Portuguese dub.
The dub has been found in a episode compilation made by Peppa Pig's official YouTube channel for Latin America on 3 January 2018.
