The Legend of Dratini was the 35th episode of the Pokémon anime that aired in Japan in 1997, but was never broadcast outside of Asia. The episode was banned by the American dub company 4Kids following a controversial scene, which included Ash being held at gunpoint. This, unsurprisingly, did not get past the 4Kids censors, and thus never aired. As all non-Asian countries air dubs based on the English version, it was never shown anywhere outside of Asia.

4Kids used footage of this episode in the Pokérap, implying that they obtained the episode from Japan. According to Eric Stuart (the original English voice director and original voice of Brock and James), there was no English dub for this episode.

The Japanese version is available on YouTube, however. The closest to an English dub on YouTube is the Japanese version with English subtitles.

However, it should be noted that this episode features a major event - Ash catching his Tauros. Despite this episode being removed, Ash's Tauros were not. This also caused a major plot hole, because non-Japanese fans of the series were confused as to how Ash obtained them.

The episode’s dub was confirmed fake by Brock and James voice actor, Eric Stuart who stated that The Broadcast Standards and Practices division of the television network disapproved of the episode.
