Porco Rosso poster

The first official English dub of the Japanese animated comedy-adventure film Porco Rosso was commissioned by Japan Airlines (JAL) in 1992. It is considered the most obscure of the Studio Ghibli English dubs not made by Disney and little is known about its production.

The dub was produced in Japan by Ward Sexton, who voiced Porco. Also featured in the dub are Lynn Harris as Fio and Barry Gjerde as several background characters. The rest of the cast remains unverified.

The dub was included in the 1996 Studio Ghibli LaserDisc set (alongside the other pre-Disney English dubs) and the 2002 Region 2 DVD, both of which were only released in Japan. There are no confirmed official releases of this dub in English-speaking countries. Since the discontinuation of the 2002 Region 2 DVD, this dub has been out of print.
