Rolie Polie Olie is a French-Canadian computer-animated children's television series produced by Nelvana and Sparx* in association with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation and Disney Channel, and created by William Joyce and developed by Joyce, and Maggie Swanson. The show focuses on a little robot who is consisted of several spheres and other three-dimensional geometric shapes. The series was one of the earliest series that was fully animated in CGI, several books were published along with the series.

About the pilot[]

An early pilot was developed in the mid-1990s, but the production date and footage (that is, if any footage exists) are yet to be found and only portions of William Joyce's original concept art have surfaced. The pilot was never aired on television. It was also mentioned in a KidScreen article saying "Then in late 1997, Nelvana bought Windlight Studios after it completed some pilot work for Rolie Polie Olie".
