Romeo and Juliet was the first full-length adaption of the William Shakespeare play of the same name, released on the 300th anniversary of Shakespeare’s death. It is not to be confused with the 20th Century Fox movie, which was released the same year. Directed by John W. Noble, the film stars Francis X. Bushman and Beverly Bayne as Romeo and Juliet, respectively.[1] No known copies of the silent film have appeared.
