Ruby to the Rescue was an animated series, which follows Ruby (voiced by Jo Wyatt) as she solves mysteries and prevents disasters on Puffin Island (which would later become the name of a location in the CHF Entertainment children's show Pip Ahoy), accompanied by Clunk the Robot (voiced by Jimmy Hibbert), Howler the Dog (also voiced by Jimmy Hibbert) and her best friend Roger (voiced by Janet James).

The show itself had a very short run on CBeebies, making it lost media as of today.

History[]

The show debuted on CBeebies on 4th January 2010. A co-production between Cosgrove Hall Films and Nelvana, it was the last Cosgrove Hall production made before the company went bust - so it was produced from 2008 - 2009, but didn't go on air until 2010.

However, CBeebies' attitude towards the show was somewhat curious. In what YouTuber SimpsonsClips24 can only describe as a repeat situation with CITV and Lavender Castle, CBeebies screened the series in full, splitting the 52 11-minute episodes into 2 series - so the first 26 episodes made Broadcast Series 1, and the final 26 made Broadcast Series 2 - screened between January and July 2010 at 8:00 AM and 4:50 PM on a Thursday. They didn't heavily promote the series, and they never repeated it nor did they release it on home media.

So apart from the intro, the show is pretty difficult to come by these days.
