Saban's Adventures of Oliver Twist is a 1996, American-French, adventure, animated, television series. It is loosely based on the novel, Oliver Twist, by Charles Dickens. It was co-produced by Saban Entertainment and Saban International Paris. It ran for a single season of 52 episodes.
Plot[]
In this version of the story, England is inhabited by both anthropomorphic animals and humans. A puppy named Oliver decides to flee from the orphanage. He then meets a rabbit known as Artful Dodger and they continue to go off together to see a red fox named Fagin. Fagin allows Oliver to stay at his place as long as he does his part to earn his keep. The orphanage's work master is relentless and determined to have Oliver returned. Oliver and Dodger, along with a pig named Charlie Bates, search for Oliver's mother, believing there's a chance she's still alive, while having expeditions along the way.
