The theme song (in English)
Sali Mali is a Welsh children's animated series that aired in 2000 on the Welsh channel S4C under the "Planed Plant Bach" block. It was produced by Siriol Productions, Cymru Cyfru and Calon and was based on the books by Mary Vaughan Jones. The series then had been broadcasted on English channels such as Nickelodeon and Channel 4.
So far, the series had only been released on VHS and DVD in Welsh and in English. Yet, as of 2021, some episodes have been surfaced online, while others haven't as they are lost and rare to find.
Availability[]
Only 3 VHS releases of the Welsh version are known to exist, but they, along with the episodes that include them haven't been uploaded anywhere on the internet. However, the show came over to Australia and has only one VHS release, containing the English version. The show also has DVD releases both in Welsh and in English. The episodes at one point have been uploaded to YouTube by Mayday51, but have been taken down for unknown reasons. Whilst the Welsh VHSes and DVDs have never been uploaded to YouTube, likely to them being rare and lost media. It wouldn't be until January of 2021, when user Luke brough uploaded the first 2 Welsh tapes onto his Internet Archive account. However, there are some episodes that have scripts on a website called SubSaga which included the supposedly the first two series. Whilst the titles are in Welsh, the scripts and the descriptions are in English. Likely due to them being translated.
