Space Strikers title card

Space Strikers is a 1995, French-American, action, adventure, science fiction, animated, teklevision series. It is a modernized, space-themed adaptation of Jules Vernes's 1870 novel, 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea. It was co-produced by Saban Entertainment, Saban International Paris, C&D, and AB Productions. Although 26 episodes were produced, only 13 of them ever aired in the U.S.

Plot[]

Capt. Nemo and a former friend who would later become known as Master Phantom were classmates in an academy, and used to be great comrades. But when the two get into a perilous, life-threatening situation, Capt. Nemo escapes on his own and Master Phantom believes he deserted him. Master Phantom gets turned into a human cyborg after being found by others and wants to get revenge on Capt. Nemo for all of this. He and the others also have plans to take over and rule the universe. But Capt. Nemo teams up with several other human, animal, and alien allies to battle against Master Phantom, and his crew, to defend it. It's also a constant battle of wits, as Capt. Nemo and Master Phantom try to outdo each other in that area.

Status[]

Although the first half of the series aired in the U.S., the other half never did nor was ever released for some reason unknown. But one speculation could be that it didn't do well enough in the ratings on American T.V. This is still the same case with the amount of episodes that are available on Youtube. It is uncertain and unconfirmed whether the second half of episodes ever even received an English dub. If not, then that means the original, French dub of the series isn't available online at all. If the French dub of the whole series with English subtitles was released, American viewers would finally have access to seeing the rest of the series. But it is uncertain the other half of the series will ever see the light of day in the U.S.
