VeggieTales (Partially Found 1996/1997 Brazilian Dub)

While VeggieTales has had 3 Brazilian dubs (all of them named Os Vegetais) so far, one of them from 1996 or 1997 has been almost completely lost. Only the first five episodes were dubbed during this era of Os Vegetais and were distributed on VHS by Buenna Vista Films from 1996-2003 (despite this, for some reason copies of the tapes are so scarce to come across). So far, all there is to be found of the 1st dub from 1996-1997 here is "Where's God When I'm S-Scared?" (which is in its entirety) and "Are You My Neighbor?" (which is incomplete and without the theme song due to a great deal of VHS glitches putting the audio off-sync very ahead of the visuals). One of the others, "God Wants Me to Forgive Them?!?" is no longer in Lu9's possession and/or on YouTube.

Findings[]

The episodes of this dub were previously uploaded to YouTube in 2015, but were removed, possibly due to copyright claims, as VeggieTales videos usually fell under copyright-striking on YouTube that year.
When this article was first created, all there was to be found was a brief clip from Are You My Neighbor?, the covers for all episodes that were dubbed (albeit in extremely poor quality), and some images from the VegeHits CD.
On February 2019, Lu9 found Are You My Neighbor? but it's not the full episode and the final lyric from the theme song was heard in place of the What Have We Learned? song.
On September 23, 2019, BigRedMonster86 found a download link for the VegeHits 1996 CD here. However, when you try to download the files, it take you to usenet.nl– which is a scam site– requiring you to register and select payment methods, which is NOT a good idea. The files on that site could be fake, as it seems no one ever ripped and leaked the CD on any sites. Best bet is to recreate that CD using songs from any of the first three episodes of this dub that are floating around as of now.
On March 17, 2020, a picture of the VHS to the original Brazilian dub of Where's God When I'm S-Scared? was found by Jonathan Teka on Instagram. The post dates back to September 22, 2016, so it's currently unknown if litadejc (the person who took the picture) still has the tape.
On April 23, 2020, the person who had the first Brazilian dub of Where's God When I'm S-Scared? confirmed that she still had the tape, but doesn't know how to digitize it/record it.
On June 29, 2021, BoyInCharge55 bought another VHS copy of the first Brazilian dub of Where's God When I'm S-Scared? from a seller who was selling a Brazilian VHS lot, and a VHS rip of the episode will be transferred to and uploaded on JesusLegalCanal's YouTube channel very soon.
On July 18, 2021, BoyInCharge55 ripped the VHS of Where's God When I'm S-Scared?, and JesusLegalCanal premiered it on YouTube on July 19, synced with higher quality visuals.

UPDATE 1 (FEBRUARY 25, 2019): Lu9 found Are You My Neighbor? on a CD that his dad owns. He is planning to rip it and upload it soon.
UPDATE 2 (FEBRUARY 26, 2019): Lu9 finally uploaded the original Brazilian dub of Are You My Neighbor? to YouTube!
UPDATE 3 (FEBRUARY 26, 2019): Lu9 stated that he used to have the original 1996 Brazilian dubs of Where's God When I'm S-Scared? and God Wants Me to Forgive Them!?! recorded on another CD, but sadly, he lost that CD.
UPDATE 4 (FEBRUARY 27, 2019): BigRedMonster86 uploaded a recreation of the original tape, albeit Larry's line in the closing countertop cuts off after a bit and the rest of the audio after that is from the Herbert Richers dub.
UPDATE 5 (MARCH 17, 2020): Sorry if this is late, but BigRedMonster86 has terminated his YouTube account, making the original dub of Are You My Neighbor? with the recreated visuals unwatchable. However, it's backed up on archive.org.
UPDATE 6 (MARCH 17, 2020): litadejc on Instagram may have a copy of the original Brazilian dub of Where's God When I'm S-Scared?. The post dates back to September 22, 2016, so it's currently unknown if she still has the tape.
UPDATE 7 (APRIL 23, 2020): I still have the "Are you my Neighbor?" with the recreated visuals.
UPDATE 8 (JUNE 1, 2020): litadejc scanned the cover for the 1st Brazilian VHS of Where's God When I'm S-Scared?. Now if only the VHS rip can resurface...
UPDATE 9 (JUNE 30, 2021): BoyInCharge55 managed to get ahold of and bought another copy of the 1st Brazilian VHS of Where's God When I'm S-Scared? from a seller, meaning now we have chances of having recovered two episodes of this obscure dub. ;)
UPDATE 10 (JULY 19, 2021): BoyInCharge55 ripped the 1st Brazilian dub VHS of Where's God When I'm S-Scared?, and JesusLegalCanal has premiered it on YouTube with higher-quality visuals taken from an HQ reconstruction of the episode's 1994 reprint.
