The California Raisins were a fictional rhythm and blues musical group as well as advertising and merchandising characters composed of anthropomorphized raisins.
There was a test concept commercial of the First raisin commercial in 1985 that was never showed to the public, Designed by director Michael Brunsfeld animated by Kevin Coffey and was produced by Colossal Pictures (as shown by the water mark in the bottom left) until it was reanimated by Will Vinton's stop motion animation studio named (Will Vinton Studios). This video was discovered on the Kevin Coffey animation website. The characters looked different with blue colored arms and legs also none of them are wearing sun glasses or singing the song there dancing to.
