The Entertainers is the 1983 debut LP by the American R&B band of the same name. This was a new band led by singer, Earl Dawkins. The other members of the group were bassist Hugh "Tuff" Blanton, trumpeter/flugelhorn player Richard Robertson, keyboardist Ric Sanders, guitarist Danny Baker, drummer Mark Goins, and trombonist John Franklin. They formed in 1980 in South Carolina. This was released through HMC Records and was reissued in 2007 and in 2024 through Japan's P-Vine Records. Like Dawkins's previous band, The Twilights, this band specialized in pop-soul and beach music particularly.
