The Lion King 1½ is an 2004 American animated direct-to-video musical comedy film based on The Lion King's Timon & Pumbaa, after in the film development where the creators reported that many scenes where deleted and alternate scenes when it was cut and removed.

- The title of the movie was originally called as The Lion King 3 but the other newer title as The Lion King 1½: Hakuna Matata is not acceptable and retitled as the same name without "Hakuna Matata" in it.
- Timon's Father was originally to be in the film but he is replaced Uncle Max because that character is cut and deleted of the final film.
- In the film, originally Zazu was telling Mufasa that Simba will to be the rightful king about he is grown-up, Zazu flings by the monkeys while Simba and Nala are both singing "I Just Can't Wait To Be King", Zazu is watching the Hyenas were attacked by Mufasa saves Simba and Nala after he walks away even Zazu was following him as well, In the final battle, Zazu is helped by Timon & Pumbaa, the two of them are fighting with the Hyenas are ran off somehwere, In the ending, Zazu is supossed to bow down at Simba with Rafiki will say "It is time" because the line is never heard because the line is from the first film.
- In the early draft of production, Timon and Pumbaa searched for Mufasa in the Elephant Graveyard. but Scar is never remember this, so Timon and Pumbaa are ran off because Shenzi is smell revenge also she chases after them.
- In the one of deleted scripts, Timon's Mother and Uncle Max were noticeably absent during the climax of Final Battle between Simba and Scar.
- In this scene was never in final film, it shows Timon & Pumbaa are still look for their new dream home but he saw a large paw-print which is Mufasa was telling Simba was taking Nala in danger, where the two of them decided to leaves.
- in the final version, Simba is swinging and fall into the water because Timon is cutting the vine off, but Simba merely pulled Nala into the water too but this scene is from the first film that will never shown at all.
- Originally of the film, Timon sang an alternate version of "That's All I Need" because Timon is the only meerkat of this world but he was simply daydreaming of Sniff, Scurry, Flinch.
