When the Magic School Bus episode entitled "In the Haunted House" aired in 1994, it had a slightly different scene from the ones released on homevideo. Instead of a scene of Ralphie thinking of a rock being thrown into the pond while the water makes ripples, there was a scene of him talking about ripples from water. There is also a deleted additional scene where Keesha talks about how an echo is made. This rare version with the deleted scenes is also found on a Magic School Bus audio cassette called "Sounds".
Although this episode is about hearing and sounds, the rumors on the phone segment reveal that Liz tries to see the ghost who was on the phone.
